It is a popular bitter herb with a long history of use as a herbal remedy. The generic name derives from the Greek words taraxos, meaning disorder, and akos, meaning remedy.

Dandelion leaf is often used as an ingredient in detox products.

The root contains bitter glycosides, tannins, triterpenes, sterols, volatile oil, choline, asparagin, and inulin.

Each caplet contains 250mg of Dandelion root powder.
