Each hawthorn complex tablet contains Green Buckwheat Powder 80mg, Garlic Powder Extract 60mg of 2.5:1 extract (equivalent of 150mg fresh herb weight), Hawthorn Powder Extract 8mg of 5:1 extract (equivalent to 40mg fresh herb weight).

Hawthorn has become one of the most popular herbs in the western world. Modern scientific investigations have identified a number of the important 'actives', the key one being flavonoids and proantho-cyanidins. Both of these plant compounds belong to the flavonoid family of protective phyto-chemicals (ie plant compounds).

The leaves, flowers, and berries of hawthorn contain a variety of bioflavonoids that appear to be primarily responsible for the cardiac actions of the plant.

Rutin is a powerful antioxidant flavonoid found in green buckwheat which may help support the circulatory system.

The garlic in our hawthron complex may help maintain a healthy heart and circulation
