CFM® employs a unique 'Cross-Flow Microfilteration' process - which means the seperation technique that is employed is a natural filtering process (to remove fat, cholesterol, denatured proteins and lactose) that avoids harsh chemicals and leaves only the quality pure whey.

Whey protein concentrates have some of the lactose and fat removed to provide a product containing 35-80% protein.  However some of the processing methods used to achieve this involve heating, which can denature the protein and reduce its biological value.  In contrast, whey protein isolates contain over 90% protein with little or no lactose or fat.  The high protein content of isolates is the result of either ion exchange processing or cross-flow microfiltration.
