Bladderwrack (Weight Management)
There are three major active constituents in bladderwrack: iodine, alginic acid, and fucoidan. The main use of bladder wrack is as a source of iodine, an essential nutrient for maintaining a healthy thyroid. Iodine is involved in normal growth and development, and originates in the soil. Sea Iodine forms part of the hormones thyroxine and triiodothyronine that are necessary for the maintenance of metabolic rate, cellular metabolism and integrity of the connective tissue.
